The United States of America closely follows Switzerland, with a total opportunity score of 82%.
US matches Switzerland in employment prospects with 94 points but trails slightly in other categories with 93 points in earning potential, 86 points in career advancement, and 68 points in high livability.
India’s lower opportunity score
The employment prospects and premium education in the USA stand at 74 points. India, on the other hand, ranks lower on the opportunity score, scoring only 32%, placing it below countries like Greece.
India faces challenges, particularly in economic mobility, with a score of just 8 points. However, it excels in career advancement, garnering the highest score among the top 15 nations with 43 points.
For Indian families with a 32% opportunity score, the comparative aspect of the Henley Opportunity Index suggests that relocating to Switzerland through the Swiss Residence Program could increase their chances of success to 85%.
Greece at the bottom of opportunity list
Singapore secures the third position on the index with a total opportunity score of 79%. Despite sharing a similar earning potential with Switzerland (100 points).
Singapore’s overall score is lower due to its rankings in other categories. With 97 points in employment prospects, Singapore tops the list among the 15 nations evaluated. However, it lags behind in career advancement compared to other top-ranked countries.
Australia and Canada occupy the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, with total opportunity scores of 75% and 74%. Both countries excel in various parameters, including earning potential, career advancement, employment prospects, premium education, economic mobility, and high livability.
At the bottom of the list, Greece scores 49% on the total opportunity score, facing challenges in economic mobility and other key parameters.
