The University of Sussex has announced scholarships for Indian students aiming to pursue bachelor’s and master’s programmes at Sussex starting in September 2024. The scholarship will provide £4,000 to £10,000 worth of financial support. The John Kinghorn Scholarship in Engineering and tuition fee awards are announced for Indian students.
The deadline for applications for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship is May 1, while it is September 1 for the Sussex India Scholarship. Interested applicants can apply at sussex.ac.uk/study/fees-funding/masters-scholarships.
As per a University of Sussex statement, this initiative is designed to provide substantial financial support to eligible Indian nationals aiming to pursue master’s courses at Sussex starting in September 2024.
The scholarship fund totals £4,000, with the option of the Chancellor’s International Scholarship, valued at £5,000, available to exceptional international master’s and bachelor’s applicants.
As part of the John Kinghorn Scholarship in Engineering (2024), £10,000 will be provided to each of four deserving recipients.
The university is also introducing an additional £2,000 ‘Tuition Fee Awards’ for those Indian students who enroll in eligible master’s programmes within the School of Engineering and Informatics or the University of Sussex Business School.
“The Sussex India Scholarship aims to support Indian students in their pursuit of higher education at Sussex. This initiative is a testament to the University of Sussex’s ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility to higher education for international students and to support the academic ambitions of students from India,” a university statement said.
