Canada Express Entry, Draw Results, Invitations, Provincial Nominee Program, permanent residence

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) sent invitations to foreigners to apply for permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee Program of Express Entry system. The Canadian government conducts Express Entry draws, or rounds of invitations about every 2 weeks, for candidates from the Express Entry pool to apply for permanent residency. The latest round of draws held by Canada issued invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee Program on May 30, 2024.

The provincial nominee program (PNP) is for workers who have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory and want to become permanent residents of Canada. Each province and territory has its own ‘streams’ (immigration programs that target certain groups) and requirements. For example, in a program stream, provinces and territories may target students, businessmen, skilled workers or semi-skilled workers.

How you apply depends on which stream you’re applying to. You can apply using one of the following streams. The application process will vary based on the stream you choose – Express Entry process or the non- Express Entry process.

On May 30, 2024, 1490 Express Entry invitations were issued to eligible foreign nationals ranked among the first 2,985, with the lowest-ranked candidate receiving a CRS score of 676. The Date and time of the round was May 30, 2024 at 14:59:31 UTC while the Tie-breaking rule date was January 19, 2024 at 18:32:21 UTC. If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

Candidates are ranked out of a potential 1200 points using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which takes into account characteristics such as age, education, work experience, and language ability. The Canadian government establishes immigration targets, and the CRS cut-off score for each Express Entry draw, even the lowest-ranking applicant who receives an ITA for permanent residence, affects the overall score.

Canada Express Entry is a program designed for talented immigrants seeking permanent residency in Canada. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is in charge of processing economic immigration petitions under a variety of programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Provincial Nominee Program.
