Canada invites foreigners to apply for permanent residency

3300 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency under the Express Entry draw for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) were sent out on August 27, 2024.
The date and time of the round was August 27, 2024 at 17:44:02 UTC where the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited was fixed at 507. The tie-breaking rule was June 05, 2024 at 01:08:58 UTC.

In the previous round, 3,200 invitations to apply for permanent residency under the Express Entry draw for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) were sent out on August 14, 2024.

The Canadian Experience Class is intended for talented workers with Canadian work experience who want to become permanent residents.

To be qualified, you must meet all of the minimal standards for Canadian skilled job experience and language fluency.

To be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class, you must have completed at least one year of paid skilled work in Canada (or an equivalent amount of part-time employment) within the three years preceding your application. Additionally, you must have earned this work experience while permitted to work in Canada as a temporary resident.

Your skilled work experience must be compensated, including salary or earned commissions, and cannot include volunteer labor or unpaid internships.

Furthermore, you are ineligible for the Canadian Experience Class if you have worked without authorization and your job experience was gained when you were not in Canada on temporary residency status.

Two Provincial Nominee Program draws have been held in August. First was on August 26, 2024, where 1,121 ITAs were sent with a cut-off score of 694. Second was held on August 13, 2024 where 763 ITAs were sent with a cut-off score of 690.
