New Season of Destination Canada Job Forum is Now Open

Destination Canada Job Forum 2024

Registration for the IRCC’s Destination Canada Mobility Forum is now open for the 2024 virtual (online) job fair to be held on March 1 and 2, 2024.

Participation in the Destination Job Forum is free, but it has limited spots and registration is required to participate

Eligible applicants register by completing an application, providing the NOC code for their line of work, and submitting their resume in Canadian format.

The applicant will be contacted for an online interview if a participating Canadian employer thinks their profile matches their requirements.

These applicants can then apply for a Canadian temporary work permit if they are extended a job offer.

Specifics of Destination Canada Job Forum 2024

2024’s job forum is focused on bilingual jobs in the education sector and is called Destination Canada Education.

Destination Forum focuses on job seekers and employers interested in early childhood educators, primary and secondary school teachers (kindergarten to grade 12), and teachers of French as a second language.

In 2023, IRCC focused on jobs in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Tourism-Hospitality-Culinary sectors.

What will happen at the Job forum?

Participating candidates will get an opportunity to interact online with Canadian companies in the sectors of early childhood and teaching.

The school boards, daycare centres, and language schools hiring at the event will get in touch with candidates whose profiles match the job posting requirements to schedule chat or videoconference interviews.

Candidates will also get the chance to discover the procedures involved in gaining accreditation to practice as a primary or secondary school teacher or as an educator.

Exchanges with delegates from French-speaking communities and the provinces and territories of Canada will also be possible.

They will give the participants information about the Canadian towns, regions, educational systems, and particular immigration initiatives, as well as inquiries concerning French-speaking life throughout the country (apart from Quebec).

Those interested in obtaining training can also learn about bridge programs in early childhood education.

Additionally, there will be conferences that participants can attend to gain an overview of early childhood programs, teaching in French, and the Canadian school system.

Who can participate in the Destination Mobility Forum?

Reiterating, it’s free to participate, but an invitation from IRCC is required to join the virtual fair.

It is available to both foreign nationals abroad and those who are already in Canada and have a valid work or study permit.

This forum is exclusively for applicants who speak French or are bilingual (French and English) and who are looking for possibilities in Canada (outside of Quebec).

They must have training and experience in early childhood education, primary or secondary school teaching, or teaching French as a second language.

Those in the IEC pool, in the Express Entry pool, or having a record of prior study or employment in Canada are also eligible to apply.

What is the Destination Canada Mobility Forum?

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) hosts the Destination Canada Mobility Forum every year, mostly in March 2024.

It helps qualified individuals who speak French or are bilingual learn about Canada’s many immigration processes and connects them with officials from cities, provinces, and territories.

The forum facilitates communication between job seekers and Canadian firms seeking candidates for positions outside of Quebec.

The event also features participation from Francophone organizations committed to strengthening Francophone communities in Canada.
