Applicants must have a contact person in Uruguay or a confirmed hotel reservation. Complete contact information, including a telephone number and address, is required. The Migration Office will verify this information, and if the contact cannot be reached or the hotel reservation is not confirmed, the visa application may be denied.
Interview Appointment
Applicants will be scheduled for an interview at the Consulate in Stockholm. If documents were submitted via email, originals must be brought to the interview. After the interview, and once the application is complete, the Consulate will forward it to the National Migration Office in Uruguay for review. You will be notified once a decision is made. If approved, you will need to send your passport by post for the visa to be issued.
