Vietnam has reaffirmed its standing as the most affordable country for expatriates for the fourth consecutive year. In a recent study by InterNations, Vietnam has got the top spot out of 53 destinations due to its low cost of living, financial stability, and overall quality of life, making it an attractive destination for individuals looking to relocate abroad.
The study, which surveyed over 12,000 expats across 174 territories worldwide, emphasised Vietnam’s competitive edge in housing affordability, alongside reasonable expenses for essentials such as food, transportation, and entertainment. Expats have consistently praised Vietnam for its welcoming environment and the ease of settling into everyday life.
Meanwhile, India secured the 6th position in the top 10 expat destinations list. Known for its rich cultural tapestry and diverse job opportunities, India continues to draw expatriates seeking a blend of traditional charm and modern amenities.
Southeast Asia emerged prominently in the rankings, with Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines joining Vietnam among the top 10 countries. These nations are celebrated for their cultural diversity, vibrant communities, and favorable living conditions, offering expats a fulfilling lifestyle experience.
The InterNations study evaluated destinations based on key factors such as quality of life, digital connectivity, housing availability, career prospects, salary levels, and job security.
